Denise Finch, OTD, OTR/L, CHT, FAOTA is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist who obtained her post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy from Boston University in 2012. 

She is an assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at MCPHS University in Manchester, NH.  Before entering academia, Dr. Finch founded and operated WorkRite Medical Associates for over 30 years.  Through her company, she provided services to help people with work injuries or disabilities retain or regain work capacity. Services included on site job/task evaluation and modification, hand therapy, work hardening/work transition and ergonomics.  For employers, Dr. Finch also provided customized training and consultation in the areas of injury prevention, ergonomics, and return to work.  Dr. Finch has presented locally and nationally on a variety of topics including, musculoskeletal injury risk assessment, preventing and managing work related musculoskeletal disorders, office ergonomics, job analysis, job modification and worker’s compensation. In 2018 she co-authored a chapter about the occupation of work in Willard and Spackman’s Occupational Therapy and in 2019 co-authored a chapter about the work site evaluation of the injured worker in Rehabilitation of the Hand, 7th ed.  In 2019, she was named to the Roster of Fellows of the American Occupational Therapy Association for significant contributions to the field of occupational therapy in the area of work evaluation and rehabilitation.
