Sara Dockreall PhD, MA, MEd, Dip TP, Dip (Physio) MISCP, MIES is an assistant professor in the Discipline of Physiotherapy, Trinity College Dublin and a Chartered Physiotherapist.

Prior to joining TCD she was a clinical physiotherapist in St. James’s Hospital, Dublin and Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, Dublin. Her primary teaching and research interest is the investigation and application of ergonomics to prevent musculoskeletal disorders and to promote physical health and wellbeing in children and adolescents.  Moving and handling (M&H) of patients is a further teaching and research interest, with particular focus on the provision of safe and dignified M&H for bariatric patients in health care. Sara is actively involved in these areas and has supervised research projects at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She has previous experience of producing best practice guidance in healthcare and for the general public. An active editorial board member, peer-reviewer and member of school and faculty research ethics committees and professional committees, she has published widely in clinical, education, and ergonomics peer-reviewed journals.
